How music affects us
We listen to music and songs every single day, willingly or unwillingly. Meaning that you might be watching a video and an ad comes up with a specific tune in the background, or you might be watching tv, and a commercial comes up with a theme song, or you may be watching a movie with a specific soundtrack. Like it or not, music is a crucial and significant part of our lives.
It’s everywhere, and you can’t avoid it.
More times than not, though, this is not such a bad thing, music is lovely, and it’s beautiful. Of course, there are multiple genres out there that make it much more complicated, but overall it’s nice.
But how does music affects us? Seemingly at first, it doesn’t. Why would it? It’s just a melody with some words on it.. how can that affect us?
Well, have you ever listened to a particular song while doing something meaningful? Doesn’t that song get stuck in your head, and every time you hear it, all you can think about Is that one specific moment in your life? It gives moments a whole new meaning.
Or think about that long trip to the beach with your friends. Would that be the same without music blasted out loud on the stereo while singing along and enjoying every minute of it while also enjoying a beautiful sunset?
Think about your workout. Don’t you also put on your headphones and turn the volume up to some motivational gym playlist to increase your adrenaline and get the most of your gym time?
How many times have you found yourself singing some random music you heard on your way home without even knowing the lyrics to it, but still you were vibing with it?
These things are small but mighty moments of our lives that make us enjoy everyday life a bit more, and the one companion to these moments is always music.
