Why is music important?
Music is one of the few things in life that everybody loves. It's maybe the one thing that all humans have in common, perhaps even some animals. Everyone listens to music, different genres, but the base is the same. We find ourselves lost in a melody more often than not. We listen to it while working while taking a walk while doing chores, working out, and many more activities. Why is music so important? Why is the way specific notes are put together affect us so much?
It brings people together.
Just like we said, music is the one thing that everyone has in common. No matter who you are or what you do, you will always have music in common with every other stranger on this planet. We gather around in concerts, live sessions, etc., to listen to some good music and have a great time amongst friends or strangers.
It makes us feel better.
Music is a great brain stimulant. It acts as a pain reliever sometimes; whenever you feel down or just not in the mood, the right music can hit you in the right spot and make you feel much better.
Through music, we can express ourselves so much better than we can through words. Different people do this in different ways, but the idea's central core is still the same. Music makes us more creative or brings out the creative side of us.
Music is fun
Music is a great way to spend your time. It doesn't matter if that means going to a concert, playing music somewhere, composing, or even listening to some nice tunes through your phone or laptop. It's always an excellent way of having fun and enjoying your time.
These are just a limited amount of reasons why we listen to music and why we enjoy it so much. Everyone has his or her own motivations and feelings while listening to a good song. But what everyone has in common and unites us is the reasons above.
